LORENZO KEY

In 1996, Lorenzo initially started in the trucking business. He successfully received his CDL and immediately started driving for a local transportation company. Shortly after, he bought his first semi-tractor truck and leased it on with that same transportation company. In 2007, Lorenzo established R and D Transportation in Columbus, MS. The company began as a transportation carrier that hauled various goods by semi-tractor trucks. Throughout the years, Lorenzo has obtained great knowledge and experience within the trucking industry. He has hauled across the nation using different semi-trailers and carrying various commodities. Lorenzo has faced many struggles as well as successes during his time within the trucking industry. However, his challenges only motivated him to strive to achieve greater things.

 

Recently, Lorenzo completed the necessary training to convert R and D Transportation into a brokerage/logistic service. The company currently specializes in connecting shippers with reliable carriers, facilitating the shipment of goods, and processing and managing cargo inventory. Lorenzo continues to communicate with his instructor to further his knowledge about brokerage. He also collaborates with experienced and intermediate agents to strategize ways to improve the brokerage industry and help others learn the business. Even with the modifications and increase in responsibilities, R and D Transportation continues to strive for greatness in the freight industry.
